Fashion magnate John Robinson, who utilized Kate Middleton before she wed Prince William, has won a three-year battle to host wedding events at his Cotswolds estate.

The multi-millionaire creator of style chain Jigsaw needed to conquer objections from locals about sound pollution and busy roadways. He was given 4 months' notification in 2022 to stop hosting events at his ₤ 12 million residential or commercial property, Euridge Manor.

But, after a nine-day public query, Robinson, 77, has been approved approval to continue hosting events on the sprawling 450-acre estate, where Poldark star Eleanor Tomlinson exchanged swears with rugby player Will Owen.

'Euridge Manor Weddings is delighted at the grant of planning authorization,' a spokesperson says.

When Robinson bought Euridge Manor Farm in 1980, it covered 200 acres, with a five-bedroom farmhouse, sheds and three homes. But the magnate extended the estate, acquiring 250 acres of surrounding land, and building an orangery with 2 bed rooms and an indoor swimming pool.

He wed now ex-wife Belle at Euridge in 2004. After their divorce in 2014, Robinson registered business Euridge Manor Weddings Incorporated and began hosting events.

Neighbours complained about traffic, music and firework display screens lasting into the little hours and said the estate did not have authorization for 'modification of use' in order to host wedding events.

After 2 planning applications and an appeal, preparing authorization has now been granted based on a series of conditions to manage sound and address highway safety concerns.

No cut costs for Stella's clan
